Rebuilding Together Santa Cruz County is a year round program that repairs and rehabilitates the homes of the low-income, elderly and disabled. It unites people of all walks of life in an effort to assist people in need. Rebuilding Together Santa Cruz County started in 1993 as a non-profit private organization.
Various community organizations and service groups refer houses to Rebuilding Together Santa Cruz County. Work scope visit is made by a skilled tradesperson. A committee of the board ultimately makes the difficult determination as to whether the house meets the eligibility criteria, and is within our scope of work. Individual homeowners may request our services by letter.
Anyone fourteen and older can be Rebuilding Together Santa Cruz County volunteer. Volunteers come from churches, schools, community service organizations, corporations, associations, and interested individuals. Volunteers do not need to be skilled at home repairs, but any skills will be well-utilized.
